Reminders &
Information:
-During February & March there have been burglaries in our
subdivision and in the surrounding areas.Please take the necessary precautions.
Report suspicious vehicles, plate numbers and persons to the Danville
Police Department.They need our
help.
-If you are interested in joining a
“Crime Watch” group being organized by one of our residents please
call Ron Candido.
-The
Association’s new web site is lakeshoreshoa.org
-If you have an e-mail and would
like notification of pertinent information by the Association, please respond
to rtccjc41@comcast.net.We will attempt to set up a group
e-mail.
-Burned out street lights should be
reported to AmerenIP. Call 1-800-755-5000.
-Many of our residents use our
streets for walking and since we have no sidewalks .We ask that you park
your vehicles in the driveway when possible.
-Our park is owned by the
Association and is available to all members in good
standing.
-Early this summer the city will be
using the new solid waste trucks operated by one worker.All
trash must be in the tote or it will not be picked up unless you call for a
special pick-up.Fines are
possible if trash is not in a tote.Yard waste may be placed in the tote if it has a yard waste
sticker.Additional totes may be
purchased from the city.
-The Architectural Committee must
approve all exterior construction or mass landscaping.Please
allow at least 30 days for review.The requirements for your submission can be found in our by-law booklet
on page 17.Contact Ron Candido,
John Rew or Mike Wilkinson.
-If you are interested in
participating in the 50/50 repair program for the curb in front of your
driveway, contact the Public Works Department at 431-2382.
-Garage sales are limited to 2/year. Please do not place
signs in the middle of the front entrance because of possible damage to our
underground sprinkler system oron the wooden street signs.
-When walking your dog please respect the property of your
neighbors.

Reminders and Information:
-When walking your
dog please respect the property of your neighbors.
-Inoperable street lights should be reported to AmerenIP @
1-800-755-5000.
-The following are the City rules for leaf-burning:
-Only the burning of leaves is
allowed. (No brush or refuse.)
-Do not burn on windy days. (This
is normally a wind speed greater than 15 mph.)
-Burning is allowed from 6:00 AM to dusk.
-The fire must be at least 50 feet
from a structure.
-The fire can be 15 feet from a
structure if it is in an approved container.
-The fire must be attended at all
times by a responsible person 18 or over.
-Water, sand, hose, etc must be
present to put out the fire.
-Burning is not allowed on the
street.
-If a fire is a nuisance to your
health the Fire Dept. will extinguish it if called.
The Board has been contacted in previous winters about
children playing on the lake ice at the end of the ramp in the park. Please
talk with your children about the potential danger.
If you have questions regarding the new trash totes call the
Public Works Department at 431-2382.Please remember that all trash must be inside the tote.Trash not inside the tote subjects you
to a fine by the city.The tote may
be used for yard waste if it has a city yard waste sticker.Only Danville yard waste bags will be picked up.
The Board completed a survey in January 2007 concerning the
placement of political signs in LakeShores.The results of the survey were as
follows:
-allow

-do
not allow placement-101
-no
reponse-51
Therefore, the Architectural Committee will not approve the placement of a political
sign.The Covenants of your
homeowner’s association takes precedence over local, state or federal
rulings concerning political signs.We would appreciate your cooperation by not displaying political signs
for the campaigns.
New playground equipment will be installed in the park this
fall.
The Association has a web site at lakeshoreshoa.org.Please use it to find the by-laws, minutes to meetings and other information
concerning our organization.

As the Holiday season
approaches we would like to thank the residents who decorate the exterior of
their homes for the enjoyment of neighbors and holiday visitors.
